My closet is my happy place!

For as long as I can remember, my closet has been my place of refuge. It’s where I go when I need to clear my mind, vent or even cry. It holds some of my deepest emotions and feelings. My closet has been so important to me because in spite of how sad or upset I am at times, my closet seems to make me feel better. Being able to go into my closet and put together any look that I desire is so amazing! Being able to do this takes me to a better space mentally. And that puts a Huge smile on my face! My closet is so significant to my life because just as it holds some of my most intimate thoughts, it also holds some of my most treasured items. So, the next time you go to your closet and pull out your favorite dress, your favorite bag or your go to heels, Smile because its the simple things in life that really matter. After all, the simple things make the hard times a little easier. This blog will be dedicated to me showcasing some of my favorite items from my closet. This little gem may be small but it packs a major punch! It is definitely one of those items that will catch everyone’s attention. It is very bright and colorful and that’s what I love about it. When I finally get the opportunity to style this I will keep my look very subtle and neutral. This bag will give me all the color that I need. The quality of it is also impeccable. Don’t let the small size deceive you. It will hold all of my essentials without me having to over stuff it. The day that I debut this beauty will be a great day!!

This is definitely a feel good kind of bag. A little edgy but classic as well. The thing that caught my attention with this bag is the deep rich color scheme. The fringe is an added bonus. I also love the thick guitar style strap. The gold hardware is of great quality and it also compliments this shade of green very well. I wore this with an all white ensemble because I wanted the bag to be the focal point of the look. I can’t wait to style this again in the future! I won’t do all white next time. I Promise!!

A great pair of shoes can not only make your look but they can even make your day! When I first laid eyes on these I knew they had to come home with me. The color, the design, the overall aesthetic was very unique. They’re so me because I love pieces that stand out and grasp the attention of those in my presence. I like to pair these with some light wash distressed jeans and my emerald green velvet blazer. What a winning look!

The ever coveted bucket bag. Whenever I carry this bag, it is sure to get the attention of some eager person wanting to know where I found it. Honestly I can’t blame them! I am so in love with the shape and color of this. In fact the creamy brown is one of the things that made me notice it. I love all shades of brown but this is probably my favorite. I’m waiting for warm summer weather so I can pair this with a nice flowy top and shorts. I can feel the warm breeze on my skin. Couple that with this bucket bag and I’m all smiles.

Snakeskin? How could someone who is absolutely afraid of snakes own something like this? And not just own it but actually really love it. First of all, do you see the color scheme of this? Shades of brown with a hint of neon yellow and green. These colors blend so well together. It also has a gold chain strap that makes this look even more high end. This combination is a handbag lovers dream. The length of the chain strap allows me to wear it as a crossbody or a shoulder bag. This will pair so well with so many different looks. If I’m feeling a little daring I can pair it with another pattern that compliments it. Only time will tell.

For so many years I prided myself on not wearing gymshoes or sneakers. What was I thinking? I was limiting myself and missing out on so many great options. I can’t remember the pair that started my obsession but I am ever so thankful. This particular pair stood out to me because of the unique pattern. In case you hadn’t noticed I am very fond of those unique stand out items that so many people shy away from. That’s my lane and I’m happy riding it alone. You should always do the same. So what if you’re the only one who likes it! That’s actually where the true beauty of it lies. The true beauty lies within you being uniquely you!

Toes in the sand, soft wind in my hair and sun kissed skin. This bag makes me think of all those things. If I had to choose one bag that says vacation it would definitely be this pineapple adorned little number. Just because this gives off vacation vibes it doesn’t mean that it’s limited to just that. I would carry this whenever and where ever I wanted. I never put the items that I love in a box that limits my creativity. After all it’s fashion and that’s the one thing that shouldn’t restrict your creativity.

This bag is the perfect combination of grown up and fun. The leopard print makes it more fun and less serious. I really like the leopard with the red and the black ties it all together. I also like the shape of this. The gold plating makes it look a little more classic than it would without it. The detachable mini wallet is also a really nice detail. This simple little touch makes it a fun and carefree kind of bag. Some people would probably feel like this has too much going on but for me it’s just enough.

A nice summer afternoon on the water. This shoe takes me to that place. Bright colors and a tropical print always screams warm weather. I like this shoe because of the style and the summery colors. They make me think of all the exciting activities that I love to do during that time. A carnival, a day at the zoo or brunch on the rooftop of my favorite restaurant. It all says summer!

A few years ago I found a bag that I fell in love with at first sight. It was the perfect messenger bag made of real leather and genuine calf hair. It was multiple shades of brown and a true beauty in my eyes. After years of carrying it, I needed to replace it. It took me years to find the perfect replacement. One day I walked into one of my favorite stores and there was this bag. To my surprise, it met all of the requirements. It even had fringe which was an absolute bonus. Although I would typically carry this during the cooler months, I’m going to defy the rules and carry it on a hot summer day! I can’t wait!

This bag takes me back to my childhood. This color combination makes me think of going to the circus with my family as a kid. The cotton candy was always a mixture of pink and blue. Its really funny how certain things can take us back to those moments in time. Those moments when life didn’t seem so difficult. Its nice to go back and relive those special times. Even if only for a brief moment.

It’s always nice to have a pop of color to add that extra element to any look. I like this little bag because of the color obviously but I love the shape as well. This shade of orange is nice because it can be worn in the spring/summer and the fall. It’s small, fun and carefree. Whether you’re spending the day on a boating trip or picking apples from the orchard, this little orange number fits the bill!

Unpredictable, Unconditional, Unapologetic! This is what fashion is to me. We should all be able to do what we want when it comes to our own style. No one should hold the cards when it comes to making our own fashion choices. This is what makes it so fun and exciting. Knowing that you can do what you want and make the choices that make you happy. When you get to that place, there’s no looking back! This bag is just that. It may not be for everyone but it’s definitely for me.

Snake print has been all over my closet lately. I must admit, I am actually really into it right now. The thing about snake print is that although it’s on trend right now, it will always be a staple. There are some items that never go out of style. No matter how much we wear it and bring it back to life, they’ll always have a place in the fashion world. These are the kind of trendy pieces that I don’t mind going for because they simply have so much more longevity! Besides, I don’t follow trends. I just wear what I like.

This little crossbody puts a smile on my face. How could it not? It’s a great size, nice shape and the colors are so bold and vibrant. This is not for the faint at heart. You have to have somewhat of a standout kind of style to even appreciate this. I think that’s one of the reasons I like it so much. Aside from the fact that it is very girly. Anyone who truly knows me, knows that I love all things Girly!

OMG! I am Totally, Completely, Undoubtedly In love with these! Can we just take a moment and admire these beauties?! When I first saw these, I fell in love instantly. There was no way that I was going to pass these up. Every so often I come across an item that I feel was made just for me. As if the designer knew me personally and knew exactly how to speak to my sense of style. These definitely give me that feeling. They were made just for me. We’re a match made in heaven.

A flirty sundress, straw fedora, oversized shades and this effortless little bag are calling my name. It makes me want to drive up to my favorite little quaint town and have an easy relaxing day. Do some shopping, exchange smiles and simple conversations with friendly people passing by. The day wouldn’t be complete without a tasty lunch and old fashioned ice cream to top it off. The perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy fast paced lifestyle.

Boat shoes are not just for boating. They can be worn pretty much anytime you want to be cute and casual. They can easily be worn in place of a pair of sneakers or loafers. I like this pair because they’re pretty traditional but they also have that extra little element with the floral detailing. I love the way the flowers stand out on the dark navy background. Pair these with a white tank, white trouser shorts and a navy or black blazer, and you’re all set.

I love taking a pair of sneakers that I really like and taking them to the next level. Don’t get me wrong these were already really nice. I wanted to add my own little touch so I decided to add these metallic gold leather strings. They really elevated them and made them even more special than before. Don’t be afraid to take something that you like and turn it into something that you love. The options are endless. They’re waiting for you!

A warm sunny afternoon, brunch with friends and my favorite strawberry banana smoothie. And this cute little boucle bag of course. This will pair nicely with some baggy men’s style dress shorts and a blazer. I love the chain and acrylic strap that hangs over the front closure. In case you hadn’t noticed I am a fan of small to medium sized crossbody bags. I especially love these during the spring and summer months. As a matter of fact, now is a great time to add another one to the collection. You should too. You know you want to!

I know what you’re thinking and you’re absolutely right! Yes this does look like an apple. That is the first thought that crossed my mind when I stumbled upon this little patent leather cutie. But guess what? I didn’t let that prevent me from buying something that I like. You should do the same. When it comes to things that you like and enjoy, who cares what the next person may think. Always do what ultimately makes you happy.

These make me want to go out and enjoy the nightlife. I would definitely pair these with a nice sexy dress. The only problem is that these are not the most comfortable heels. But then again you really can’t expect heels of a certain height to be comfy. Not that it matters. We always manage to go for it and comfort becomes the least of our concerns. I always get heels and although I don’t wear them daily my closet wouldn’t be the same without them.

I haven’t carried this in a pretty long time. I’m not sure why though because I really like it. This is a really nice color combination. Anything with a hint of yellow and I’m sold. For some reason I have been longing to carry my bag neatly placed in the pit of my arm. This clutch would be perfect for that. The size and shape of this makes it a great candidate. I’m simply waiting for warmer days so I can style it up nicely!

It’s obvious that there is no turning back. I’m officially hooked and there is no way that my closet or style will ever be the same again. I can’t believe that the old me would not have even considered these. I wouldn’t have considered any sneaker for that matter. Thankfully that’s a thing of the past. I have to expand my collection. I’m on a mission and nothing will stop me. I can’t wait to style these for the first time. What will I come up with? Decisions! Decisions!

If you can’t go at the present time just buy a really unique bag that captures it perfectly. This truly captures the essence of Little Venice. This is very unique and it will definitely prompt some inquiries. The colors are very bright and vibrant in spite of being pastel. The quality of this is also impeccable. You can definitely tell that it was crafted and designed with great precision. I am truly looking forward to carrying this in the near future. Little Venice here I come!!

If any of my bags ever put me in a good mood, it would have to be this one. From the first time that I laid eyes on it, I knew we would be inseparable! Although I’ve only carried this once, just the thought of it puts a smile on my face.
